This is the most trendy and modern hotel we ever been to. From the entrance it doesn’t resemble NYC as there’s a garden that immediately transports you to a different place. Continuing walking through you’ll find flashy electric stairs that lead you to the lobby, and right there you realize you are in a completely different kind of hotel. Chech-in is online prior to arrival and at lobby there’s a guy fashionable dressed with sneakers and cool attitude welcoming you in. 

THE ROOMS

What can you expect from the rooms in the Public Hotel NY? Absolutely fantastic bed with great views (the higher floor you’re in the best views you get), modern room with all necessary amenities and a touch of stylish comfort, that you only find in the most modern and trendy hotels. The big plasma tv with apple tv available is also a nice touch, not that you would use that much considering the events on the roof hosted at the hotel but in any case it still is a nice detail that makes the difference.

PUBLIC PLACES – RESTAURANTS & BARS

PUBLIC KITCHEN: this is the hotel’s main restaurant by the renowned Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and menu is inspired by Chefs travels worldwide. The menu focuses on sustainable and organic choices and provides alternatives for all tastes and diets including vegan. Breakfast is served here daily and brunch on weekends from 11.30am to 3.30 pm. Dinner is served from 5.30pm to 11.00pm from Monday to Wednesday, the rest of the week you get an additional hour until 12.00pm.

LUIS & LUIS TO GO: Luis is a mix of grocery, coffee shop and food market serving gourmet, organic and casual food. You cans stay and work while eating or take the meal or snack to go. This is also hotel’s new concept of room service without the delivery to the room – modern and uncomplicated, but also a younger approach to the concept of room service with better prices and no delivery charge.

LOBBY BAR: it’s the heartbeat of the hotel, where people meet and socialize. Big area with sofas and free fast wifi. Three televisions with different channels, nice sofas and lots of natural light. The perfect place to work, read, relax and socialize. 

DIEGO: Cosy bar and restaurant next to the lobby to drink a cocktail and bite something. More classic atmosphere with fireplace and lower lighting. 

THE ROOF: it’s the rooftop bar with 360 panoramic views of NYC skyline. It’s the ideal place to meet for a cocktail while enjoying the sunset or to party all night. During week & weekend there are parties at The Roof and hotel guesses have priority and can bring a +1. The atmosphere is sophisticated and there lots of well known faces from NYC social media. On Sundays at 9:30 am yoga classes are offered, complimentary for hotel guesses.

PUBLIC ARTS: it’s a place for art and performances, dancing and anything you might think it wouldn’t work, it might have a place there. Check the calendar to see if something catch your attention.
